Peer Family Support Helpline

516.504.HELP (4357)

Every Tuesday 2pm-5pm

We listen when you need it most.

Does someone you love have a mental illness?

It is essential to reach out and speak to other families who have been through the same struggle and share similar experiences.

Family members are now available via the HELPline to listen and provide support.  A compassionate, non judgmental, listening ear can be helpful in a time of crisis when there is no one else to turn to.

The Family Support HELPline is anonymous and confidential and can be accessed by dialing 516.504.HELP.

Are you a good listener, with the will to help your community and a little free time on your hands?

The Family Support HELPline is looking for family members of relatives with mental illnesses to volunteer and provide emotional support to other families.

Volunteers must be willing to commit at least 1 hour a week to the HELPline.

For more information on how you can give back by providing peer support to those in need, please contact the Family Resource Center at 516.489.2322 ext. 1234.
