Our Purpose

JOBS+ is an employment program that helps people with mental illnesses get paid and/or volunteer employment.  We work with clients to provide them with job readiness and skills assessments, vocational counseling, pre-employment, job coaching and post-employment follow-up

Our focus is on using education, on-the-job training, guidance, advocacy and support to assist our clients in developing confidence and competency toward working independently at integrated settings in the community.

Our Goals

- To offer vocational counseling and support to individuals who seek to acquire employment or obtain a more suitable position.
- To provide opportunities for work experiences to clients interested in entering the work force but who are uncomfortable about giving up the safety of entitlements, such as SSI, SSD and Medicaid.
- To provide the support, guidance and resources necessary to transition people experimenting with work opportunties to full-time permanent employment.
- To address the challenges of stigma and discrimination by educating and training community members and employers.
